Megan Fragasso
Strategic Partnerships Associate
Raised in San Luis Obispo, California, Megan had the opportunity to move around during her earlier years, calling California, Utah, and Washington home. During a pivotal year spent living with her grandparents, she fostered a deep appreciation for her grandfather, who often shared captivating stories of his time in the Navy. This was her first introduction to the military, further reinforced by her other grandfather’s service in the National Guard. Those experiences instilled in her a profound respect for the flag and the sacrifices made for our freedom.
During her adolescence, Megan remained competitive and passionate, playing soccer from the age of 4 through her junior year of high school. She was also actively involved in the Future Farmers of America (FFA), reflecting her family’s deep roots in agriculture. Coming from a ranching background, with grandparents who cultivated wine grapes and engaged in family bottlings, she learned the values of hard work, dedication, and the importance of agriculture. These values taught her to appreciate the effort behind the food we often take for granted.
Megan began her higher education at Montana State University before transferring to Oklahoma State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications with a minor in Agricultural Business and Economics, graduating in 2023. Following graduation, she accepted a position in Missouri’s Department of Agriculture, focusing on marketing in the world of wine.
In 2019, her family relocated to Bigfork, Montana, where Megan’s love for outdoor activities like fly fishing, hiking, and mountain biking drew her a few hours away to Bozeman. Her deep commitment to service is evident from her volunteer work with disabled children during middle and high school, therapeutic horse riding programs in Missouri, and Eagle Mount in Bozeman.
A transformative moment in her patriotic journey occurred in 2023 when she attended the 100th Ball Dinner in West Point, NY, as the guest of a close friend. The event’s slogan, “Freedom is Never Free," and witnessing the dedication of so many individuals preparing to serve our country profoundly impacted her.
In taking on her current position at Big Sky Bravery, she is eager to immerse herself in both the Bozeman community and the incredible patriots who support our mission. Her primary focus will be on assisting in marketing, events, and expanding brand partnerships on a broader scale.
Why Big Sky Bravery? In her words, “I find joy in putting the needs of others above my own. This small, select group of our military is often unrepresented, and I am excited about giving more than I take from them. Serving in this environment brings me pride and satisfaction, as it allows me to represent and give back to those who are not often appreciated enough. I am proud to be an American and believe we should work hard and be grateful for the opportunities we have in this country.”
