“I have attended two Big Sky Bravery Task Forces and had the honor of speaking at the BSB annual Tribute Dinner. I have developed and fostered lifelong relationships with patriots who sacrifice personal time and energy for the protection and care of our nation’s warfighters. Each time, learning something new about myself, initiating a personal drive that I had not experienced in years.

After over twenty years of active duty in the Special Operations Command with no breaks and endless deployments, I embark on the most important mission of my career. My Mission: become the best father and husband I can be. Depart from the person that I am and become the man my family needs me to be now.

My family and I spent a week in Montana because of the graciousness of people who continue to amaze my family. The week was filled with memories that gave me newfound purpose as I endured the unknown of transitioning from the life I have lived my entire adult life.

Big Sky Bravery provided me purpose and clarity for who I was an an operational member within the Special Operations Command and has now provided me with the framework to now become a leader to those who need me the most.

“We were recently out on FTF6, and I can’t explain how much this trip meant to our family. We have been so blessed by this organization, and the amount of work that goes into these Task Forces doesn’t go unnoticed. Everyone at BSB has become like family; we love you all so much. BSB wouldn’t be possible without the donors and volunteers.

You pour your hearts into making special memories for others. We will forever be grateful to all who make this possible for our soldiers, spouses, and families.

We are nearing the end of my husband’s 20-year career, and this last year has already brought on so many changes for us. Being able to just let loose for a week and make wonderful memories is just what we needed. Big Sky Bravery is so special to us. The people, the donors, the background of why this nonprofit exists, all of it holds the most special place in our hearts.
