Volunteer Spotlight | Mitch Davis
“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.” - Elizabeth Andrew
Big Sky Bravery could not operate without the support of Americans who give back to those they believe in. It is our honor to shine a spotlight this month on one of our outstanding volunteers, Mitch Davis.
How long have you been volunteering for Big Sky Bravery?
Since 2019.
Why do you volunteer for Big Sky Bravery?
I volunteer to give back to those who have spent their lives defending the country.
What has been your favorite/most impactful moment since being involved with BSB?
There have been so many. Just the other day, a recipient from a 2020 Task Force who is recovering from an injury said thank you for being a friend, that it meant a lot to him. I was humbled and honored. I have experienced several moments with recipients that have left me humbled and feeling honored to be making a contribution to their lives.
How does our motto, “Give more than you take”, apply to your life?
I try to make a positive contribution when I have an opportunity, whether it is through my time or my money.
What is your job title (outside of BSB)?
Senior Vice President, agency finance, PNC Bank.
Finish this sentence: “When I’m not volunteering with BSB, you’ll find me…”
Fishing, hunting, working on old Chevy trucks and cars or walking the dogs.
