Family Task Force 18

FTF18 | Big Sky, Montana

Patriots to Thank:

  • Ascend Properties

  • Big Sky Resort

“First of all, a huge thank you to Jackie for the months of logistical coordination - emails, reservations, changes to reservations, phone calls, confirmations, and double checking so that things were squared away for us are all deeply appreciated. As a mom I understand that anyone's ability to have fun means someone worked hard to plan it - Jackie, your hard work made this trip so easy for us to enjoy.

As we reflect on the week we spent in Montana, we are deeply moved by the depth of generosity on the part of the donors, and hard work on the part of Big Sky Bravery, to pool resources and make this experience possible. From accommodations to transportation to outdoor activities to meals - we were gifted the elite experience all the way around.

Our family task force was a week of absolute freedom, joy and overwhelming gratitude.

Spending time together as a family is a priority for us whenever my husband is around. His training and deployments often mean we're making-do with FaceTime which of course is extra tough for kids.

Our family task force was a giant deposit of togetherness, bonding, and memory-making that we yearn for when we are apart.

Getting this time together while surrounded by the beauty of wintry mountains covered in fresh snow was truly next level.

The fact that BSB offers family task forces to alumni is utterly outrageous, going above and beyond the mission.

To extend BSB's commitment and care for these troops to include spouses and children is above and beyond. We feel deeply moved to be on the receiving end of this type of generosity and appreciation. This experience was incredible to share as a family and we cannot express our appreciation to the donors (Marty, Lisa, Rick & Jean) and the entire Big Sky Bravery family for giving us this precious gift.”
