Trusted Supporters,

What can be said about this week? Though we had just a couple of recipients on TF92, the impact was one of the strongest I’ve ever seen on a program. The setting on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, hosted by Boundary Expeditions, made for an unforgettable week. Fresh air, beautiful water, excellent fishing, and no cell service. It was therapeutic beyond description.

We encourage our recipients to let go of their stressors back home and let the landscape and fresh air do its thing. This was effortless on the Middle Fork. Getting into a single-seat kayak and floating down the river solo allowed the recipients to get out of their heads and let go of everything lingering.

This was an amazing adventure for these two men, one they’re still talking about.

I thank you all for your continued support and dedication to these men who shoulder so much for us all.

With the utmost respect,

Jeremy Keller

“During a week in June of 2023, I had the honor and privilege to join Big Sky Bravery on an absolutely amazing and impactful 100 mi rafting trip, through the rivers of Idaho, by Boundary Expeditions.  The selection of this venue was beyond comprehension, and it must be experienced in order to fully grasp the depth of the impact.  The time of forcing to be unplugged, allowed for the connecting with one another, throughout the intimate proximity of it all.  Connection with mates, with the other good people on the expedition, connection with self, and connection with nature and God, were unmatched by any experience I’ve had in my very rich journey of life.

Each morning we were presented with the QON – question of the night – which we would then later gather during each evening to converse amongst the BSB crew.  It was a question that forced us each to self-reflect throughout the day and then share and collaborate with one another after sunset.  This sharing was with the intent to better understand where we have come from, where we currently stand in our journey, and with the intent to derive a trajectory of where we want to be/go.  The atmosphere that BSB fostered and brought incorporated an impressive and authentic level of camaraderie and connection, which by default, invited and encouraged vulnerability.  And vulnerability is where bonds are solidified, and healing is amplified.

In addition to the opportunities for camaraderie, connection, and healing that BSB provided, they provided an amazing recipe of dynamics that ultimately can only be presented by those in the know – who have been through the journey of darkness that such men and women are struggling to recover from.  This recipe created the rare and wide-open door for vulnerability to be brought to the table, which is the foundational requirement for both bonding and healing.

Big Sky Bravery is making a difference that few others are because Big Sky Bravery has the raw and authentic depth, which far supersedes merely the philosophy that many others simply preach.

Thank you, Big Sky Bravery.  You are doing it right…”

“This week on the river was a bit of calmness that I knew I needed, but I didn’t realize how much I needed it until it happened. It’s been years since I’ve stopped to take a breath and unplug from everything and BSB didn’t hesitate to bring me back in. I was able to find some clarity through conversations that I wouldn’t have had without this experience and, more importantly, the people involved. Thank you all for what you do for this community. It goes beyond the trips. It’s the follow through on a personal level. I appreciate the sacrifices you all make for this endeavor. It means something.”
