TF125 | Big Sky, MT
A note from the Task Force Director…
Trusted Patriots,
I was fortunate enough to lead TF125 with two other volunteers, hosting three recipients. Throughout the week you could watch the stress and worry of what may be next for them fall away. Ed, Eddy and Glenn at Canyon Adventures went above and beyond again as they took us down the Gallatin River on kayaks, needless to say every single one of went over and got wet, some more then others. We attempted to camp on Buck Ridge until the storm changed our plans for a night, but that didn’t dampen the mood at all and the guys had a great night in a bed without getting soaking wet from the rain. Throughout all of this, the conversations and laughs had settled and reaffirmed for each person the reason for being there. I can say that every person left that trip refreshed, renewed and ready to tackle what ever came next for them.
I thank you for your continued support and dedication to those who do so much for us with little to no recognition. Thank you!

“Thank you for an amazing week. I didn’t realize how much I needed a break from the responsibilities of life until the third or fourth day of the trip. It really hit me then how incredible the work that you all are doing is. Spending time with the volunteers and service members, along with having zero responsibilities and playing in the Montana Mountains, had an out-sized effect on my mental well-being. I’m grateful to the organization and all of the donors that make this possible. You all are phenomenal Americans.
J.”
“Big Sky is doing amazing work addressing the needs of active duty SOF. The week I spent with the volunteers and fellow recipients at Big Sky was nothing short of incredible.
This past year was an especially difficult time that left me feeling completely drained physically and emotionally. Being able to disconnect from the grind and share experiences with others in the community felt like a giant weight was lifted off me.
I am forever grateful to the BSB staff and all of the donors, it’s a truly humbling experience that I will forever cherish.
A.”
