Shawn Hertz
Chairman Emeritus
Big Sky Bravery has given Shawn the privilege to meet the very best of what America stands for, individuals who make sacrifices every day and continue to endure. He believes they are the heart and soul of America. Big Sky Bravery volunteers have only six days with these heroes to decompress, energize, as well as build trust and brotherhood for years to come so Shawn pours his heart and soul into each day. He is passionate about BSB providing the personnel and activities, while Montana provides the adventure, beauty, and solitude.
While getting to know the men on the TF’s Shawn has been a part of, he is continuous grateful for what occurs over the course of one week; laughter, how they touch his heart, and most of all, how proud they make him. His hope is that BSB will be there for all of these deserving individuals for years to come.
Shawn is a fourth-generation Montanan who grew up near Clyde Park. He graduated from Helena College of Technology then spent the next four years in the banking industry. He soon discovered his desired career was in the brokerage and investment planning side of the business. Now, over 30 years later, he continues to help individuals and families pursue their financial goals.
Shawn is a strong contributor to the Bozeman community. He has been a resident of Gallatin Valley since 1983. Shawn is married to the love of his life, Meg, with two lovely children, Hannah and Chad, and an ever growing extended family.
